What is RAID Levels is computer :

What is RAID?

RAID: - Redundant array of independent disks. RAID is a Technology that provides increased storage functions and reliability through Reduces. RAID manufacturers later attempted to reinvent the term to describe a redundant array of independent disks as a means of dissociating a low-cost expectation from RAID technology. RAID is now used as an umbrella term for computer data storage schemes that can divide and replicate data among multiple physical drives. The physical drives are said to be in a RAID array, which is accessed by the operating system as one single drive.
Types of RAID Standard Levels:-

RAID Level 0:- This level is also known as disk striping because it uses disk file system called a strips set. In this format data is divided into blocks. Level 0 is normally used to increases performance.

RAID Level 1:- This level is also known as disk mirroring because it uses a disk file system called a mirror set. In Raid level 1 all data written to the primary disk is written to mirror disk. Its provide fault tolerance.

RAID Level 2:- This Level adds Redundancy by using an error correction method that spreads parity across all disks. RAID level 2 uses a disk striping strategy that divides files into bytes.

RAID Level 3:- This Level uses the same method as Raid level 2 but the error correction method requires only one disk Parity Data it used Varies disk space with the numbers. Its provide some READ and Write performance improvement.
